Fitzroy McLean

Senior Editor: Without Borders

Being the co-editor of Without Borders, Fitzroy has convinced himself that the formal outlet to write about his observations on the global investment and speculation climate is the only thing that separates him from other wandering tramps. In addition to writing for Casey Research, Fitzroy also manages a private investment fund focused on emerging markets. Before fund management, he served as an Army officer in various special operations, posing as well as working as a case officer within the CIA’s Directorate of Operations. Previous professional experience includes stints as a really bad tow truck driver, a mediocre professional bull rider and a stellar bartender. Since entering the financial market, Fitzroy has bought and sold over 20 companies in 13 countries, first as an entrepreneur and later as a fund manager. He is fluent in a few languages and can get himself slapped or challenged to a duel in many others. He was educated at West Point and Oxford.
