October 4, 5 & 6 Tucson, Arizona

Dear Reader,

Very possibly the most important Casey Research Summit ever has been scheduled at the stunning Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson, Arizona, this October 4, 5 and 6.

Over three information-packed days, a limited number of Casey Research readers and guests will participate side by side with a blue-ribbon faculty led by Dr. Ron Paul as they explore the seismic shifts ahead for the large Western economies and investment markets.

The world we now live in is manipulated, managed, and controlled… by the very same people who have manipulated, managed, and controlled the global economy to the precipice.

Separating fact from fiction is essential to surviving what's coming with your assets intact.

  • Will Obamacare destroy the US health care system and cripple the economy?
  • Can the world's central banks really print their economies back to prosperity?
  • What's driving the US stock market? How big is the risk as it reaches new highs?
  • Is the bond bubble approaching a pin, wiping out bond investors while simultaneously opening a decades-long profit opportunity for early movers?
  • Is the bull market in hard assets over or just getting started? What's holding gold and silver stocks back?
  • Has the US now crossed the line in becoming a police state?
  • After decades of false promises, is America finally on the path to energy independence? Or is it a myth opening the door for clear-eyed energy investors to profit?
  • Just how far is your government willing to go to defend the status quo of deficit spending and to keep the social fabric from tearing?
  • Is a currency war now both inevitable and imminent… what are the consequences for investors?
  • Is the Eurozone doomed?
  • And that's just for starters…

As you don't need us to tell you, the world has left the proverbial tracks, with overreaching governments now pursuing "whatever it takes" policies in the attempt to force fundamentally damaged economies into recovery, thereby creating massive misallocations of capital and investment pitfalls around every corner.

The government-led bank heist in Cyprus was just part of a continuum that, as it unfolds, will increasingly penalize the successful, destroy the middle class with inflation, and trap your wealth inside national borders in order to tax it at higher and higher levels.

To help you fully understand the perilous new world we live in and how to prepare for what’s next, Casey Research has pulled out all the stops for its only Summit to be held in 2013. Starting with an exceptional faculty, most of whom will not only present their latest research and answer your questions but participate as audience members throughout the entire three-day event.

Faculty

Announcing the 2013 Casey Research Summit Faculty

This critical investor's briefing will feature the world's top finance and geopolitical experts, who will show you how to legally protect your assets abroad:

Dr. Ron Paul

Former Congressman and US Presidential Candidate

Former Congressman Ron Paul of Texas is the leading spokesman for limited constitutional government, low taxes, free markets, and a return to sound monetary policies based on commodity-backed currency.

Dr. Paul was known for his consistent voting record in the House of Representatives, never voting for legislation unless the proposed measure was expressly authorized by the Constitution. In the words of former Treasury Secretary William Simon, Dr. Paul is the "one exception to the Gang of 535" on Capitol Hill.

He has served on the House Banking Committee, where he was a strong advocate for sound monetary policy and an outspoken critic of the Federal Reserve's inflationary measures. He also was a key member of the Gold Commission, advocating a return to a gold standard.

Dr. Paul will present the keynote address at the Casey Research Summit and attend the entire event as an audience member.

Donald G. M. Coxe

Chairman, Coxe Advisors LLP

Strategy Advisor to BMO Financial Group and the author of the Basic Points investment journal, Don Coxe has more than 39 years of institutional investment experience in Canada and the US.

From his office in Chicago, Don heads up the Global Commodity Strategy investment management team – a collaboration of Coxe Advisors and Harris Investments – to create and market commodity-oriented solutions for investors. He is advisor to the Coxe Commodity Strategy Fund and the Coxe Global Agribusiness Income Fund in Canada, and the Virtus Global Commodities Stock Fund in the US.

Don Coxe has consistently been named as a top portfolio strategist by Brendan Wood International; in 2011, he was awarded a lifetime achievement award, and he was ranked number one in the 2007, 2008, and 2009 surveys.

For commodity investors, Don's presentation at the Tucson Summit alone will be worth the price of admission.

Dr. Lacy Hunt

Executive Vice President, Hoisington Investment Management Company

An internationally known economist, Dr. Hunt is executive vice president of Hoisington Investment Management Company (HIMCO), a firm that manages $5.8 billion for pension funds, endowments, insurance companies and others. He is vice-chairman of HIMCO's strategic investment policy committee and also chief economist for the Wasatch-Hoisington US Treasury Fund.

Lacy Hunt is the author of two books and numerous articles in leading magazines, periodicals, and scholarly journals. Among the publishers of his articles are Barron's, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Journal of Finance, Financial Analysts Journal, and The Journal of Portfolio Management.  Previously, he was chief US economist for the HSBC Group, one of the world’s largest banks. A native Texan, Dr. Hunt also served as senior economist for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.

Twice rated by participants at past Casey Research Summits as the best presenter (which is saying something), in Arizona Dr. Hunt will update his views on the bond bubble and the indicators you'll want to watch to know when it is coming to an end. He will then be available throughout the Summit to personally answer your questions.

James Rickards

Senior Managing Director, Tangent Capital Partners

James Rickards, senior managing director in Tangent Capital Partners, an investment bank based in New York, recently made headlines with his national bestseller, Currency Wars: The Making of the Next Global Crisis.

He has been interviewed in The Wall Street Journal and has appeared on CNBC, Bloomberg, Fox, CNN, BBC, and NPR, and is an Op-Ed contributor to Financial Times, The New York Times, and Washington Post. He is a visiting lecturer at Northwestern and the School of Advanced International Studies, has delivered papers on risk at Singularity University, the Applied Physics Laboratory, and the Los Alamos National Laboratory and has written numerous articles on risk management.

As a presenter and three-day participant at the Casey Research Summit, James will provide deeply researched insights into the evolving currency wars, how to reduce the risk to your assets, and the steps he is advising his clients to take in order to profit.

Doug Casey

Chairman, Casey Research

Best-selling author, world-renowned speculator, and Casey Research Chairman Doug Casey has garnered a well-earned reputation for his erudite (and often controversial) insights into politics, economics, and investment markets.

In Tucson, Doug will expand on some of the themes discussed in his recent book, Totally Incorrect, and provide hard data supporting his contention that the Greater Depression is now not only inevitable but imminent.

As a participant on a special panel on Internationalizing Your Assets, he'll discuss his latest world tour and his best picks for global diversification today.

Paul Brodsky

Co-Founder, QB Asset Management

A professional investment fund manager since 1996, Paul Brodsky has a deep background in bond trading and running corporate and government-bond trading desks institutionally. Paul, an ardent student of monetary and fiscal policies, and his partner Lee Quaintance are convinced that the trillions of dollars in US government obligations are not sustainable and that, as a consequence, the underlying currency is certain to be devalued with a re-monetization of gold at prices exceeding $10,000 an ounce.

In Tucson, Paul will share his latest research and answer your questions from the stage, and in person as a Summit participant.

Chris Martenson

Author of The Crash Course

Dr. Chris Martenson is an economic researcher and futurist specializing in energy and resource depletion. He is the founder and editor of the website ChrisMartenson.com, as well as its popular video seminar, The Crash Course.

Chris is in the dot-connecting business. A former scientist and Fortune 300 executive, he studies macro-trends through his proprietary analytical framework based on the interdependence of the "Three Es" –  Economy, Energy, Environment – and uses this lens to assess the probable impact of current developments in the marketplace. All in order to help his readers and clients mitigate and control risk.

Another top-rated faculty member from a past Casey Summit, Chris returns to update his views on "Peak Prosperity" and how to mitigate personal and investment risk in a world on the downslope of prosperity.

Dominick Graziano

Technical Analyst

Dominick Graziano has degrees in biology, philosophy, and law. He has been a student of technical analysis for over 20 years. Dominick analyzes the inter-relationship among currencies, commodities, stocks, and bonds to identify risks and opportunities in the global marketplace. His approach to trading and investing allows investors to stay on the right side of market trends, thereby surviving and prospering in any market environment. Over the last several years, he has written a weekly review of global markets highlighting specific investment opportunities in stocks, options, and commodities.

A technical research consultant to Casey Research, Dominick's warnings on a coming breakdown in gold and gold stocks have been nothing less than prescient, contributing to our unprecedented February 28, 2013 alert to paid subscribers to protect their metals positions with "gold insurance" in the form of a simple options strategy. Subscribers closed out their positions with a minimum gain of 430%.

In his presentation in Tucson, Dominick will share his latest research on markets you want to invest in, and those you want to avoid.

Rick Rule

Chairman, Sprott US Holdings

Rick began his career in the securities business in 1974, and has been principally involved in natural resource security investments ever since. He is a leading American retail broker specializing in mining, energy, water utilities, forest products, and agriculture.

Rick has dedicated his entire life to all aspects of the natural resource industry. His contacts and knowledge of this market are unmatched. At Sprott US Holdings, he leads a team that features professionals trained in resource-related disciplines, such as geology and engineering, who work together to evaluate investment opportunities.

A perennial favorite at the Casey Research Summits, in Arizona Rick will update his views on natural resource markets, participate in panels addressing the capitulation in gold markets and the state of American energy independence, and be available throughout the event to answer your questions on portfolio holdings.

Chairman, Mauldin Economics

Ever since his breakthrough book, Just One Thing: Twelve of the World's Best Investors Reveal the One Strategy You Can't Overlook (Wiley, 2006), best-selling author, economist, and financial writer John Mauldin has been helping individual investors and institutions develop a clearer understanding of the forces driving the global economy and investment markets. Gary Shilling, and many more.

In Arizona, John will update the research presented in his best-selling book, Endgame: The End of the Debt Supercycle and How It Changes Everything.

Marc J. Victor

Arizona State Bar-Certified Specialist in Criminal Law

Marc J. Victor is a highly respected attorney and advocate for personal freedom. He has represented clients in more than a thousand major felony cases including first- and second-degree murder, sex cases, gun cases, major drug cases, complex white-collar cases, federal appeals, and other complex state and federal matters. In a recent high-profile case, he successfully represented Elizabeth Johnson in the "Baby Gabriel" case.

A Libertarian candidate for the US Senate, Marc received widespread media coverage after being fired as a judge on his first day on the job for refusing on principle to accept cases dealing with matters related to recreational drug use.

In Arizona, Marc will share his first-hand observations from the front line of the judicial system on the government's steady encroachments into personal rights.

PCGS has graded and certified over 25 million coins over the last 27 years. PCGS has over 1,200 authorized dealers worldwide who sell their product.

Van has also won acclaim as a collectibles dealer in sports cards and memorabilia, rare firearms, Western memorabilia, and collectible knives. His personal collections run the gamut from antique golf clubs to firearms, from English pottery to Bowie knives, from American and French art glass, California Art, to Western Americana. Even with this wide range of interests, Van's number one collecting passion remains rare coins. His fascination with the beauty, rarity, and historical significance of coins has been a lifelong pursuit. Van was a co-founder and is a board member of Collectors Universe (CLCT), a publically traded company trading on the Nasdaq Exchange.

In a world where investors are increasingly looking for tangible assets for their portfolio, Van's presentation on the most prospective collectible markets today will be invaluable. As with most speakers, he will also be available throughout the Summit to personally answer your questions on coins and collectibles.

John Hathaway

"The derivative books of the seven or eight largest US banks are completely opaque and incomprehensible. They are going to be big trouble in the future. The world is falling apart..."

Those are the words of John Hathaway, a member of the Investment Committee and a limited partner of Tocqueville Asset Management where he manages all gold equity products and strategies.

A seasoned money manager and analyst, John began his career in 1970 as an equity analyst with Spencer Trask & Co. before joining the investment advisory firm of David J. In Arizona, John will discuss the overarching challenges facing the global financial network and provide support for remaining an unrepentant believer that the "hard money" of gold will prevail over fiat currencies over time.
