Kevin Brekke is an editor for the Metals & Mining Division at Casey Research. His former life in commercial aviation transported him across cultures and ideologies, shaping a worldview free of political boundaries and unencumbered by patriotism. Curiosity trumps routine in his world, forging a residence resume that boasts U.S. cities from coast to coast, Germany's Baden-Baden region, and his latest adventure at a lakeside village in Switzerland, where his free time is spent renovating an old chalet.
He developed and edited a monthly newsletter serving airline personnel, and assisted in the launch and edited an up-market, outdoor magazine still in circulation. Since joining Casey Research in 2007, he has assisted the senior editorial and research staff on several Casey publications.
Kevin began his academic pursuits in the chemistry department of CSU San Diego; studied architecture and graduated from Chicago's Design Academy in 1983; and earned his BS Political Science, minor Philosophy, from Portland State University, in 2001.
