The gold price, during the Far East trading day on Tuesday, was mostly down hill. This trend continued into London trading as well, with the bottom coming shortly after 12:00 noon in London... about an hour before trading began in New York yesterday morning. 11/18/2009

Good day... And a Terrific Tuesday to you! What a ride on Mr. Toad (Bernanke's) Wild Ride yesterday for the currencies! Gold? Well, at one point in the day, Gold had shot up $24 on the day! It topped out at $1,142... The shiny metal then gave some back on profit taking, but Whew! Gold holders have got to love it! Those that keep waiting for a pull-back... Well, they might be still waiting when the cows come home... 11/17/2009

Good day... And a Marvelous Monday to you! It's raining here, so it's one of those Rainy Days and Mondays... But I won't let it get me down, as opposed to the song! I got a chance to check out our new digs in the building next door to us here... Very nice! And... A long way from that small office I sat in on Olive St. a decade ago, when we started EverBank... To think back 10 years ago, and where we are today... Simply amazing! 11/16/2009

Just Another Day Off The Calendar: Gold and silver's high for Thursday was at precisely 3:00 p.m. in Hong Kong trading yesterday... 2:00 a.m. in New York. From there, it was all down hill through the rest of Far East, London and New York trading... 11/13/2009

Good day... And a Happy Friday to one and all! Let's try to make this a Fantastico Friday as well! The Risk Aversion that was creeping into the currency markets yesterday really took hold in the U.S. trading session, which meant the dollar was being bought once more, along with Japanese yen... 11/13/2009

"Everybody Knows That U.S. Gold Reserves Are Leased and Shorted": The sharp rise in gold and silver prices in Far East and early London trading I spoke of in my closing comments last night, ran out of gas pretty quick. By 9:00 a.m. in London, the gold price had flattened out and stayed that way until the London p.m. fix was in at 3:00 p.m. local time [10:00 a.m. in New York]. In the next half hour, gold tacked on a quick four bucks... but at precisely 10:30 a.m. in New York, someone showed up to sell the price down to its [N.Y.] low of the day at $1,110.80 spot. 11/12/2009

Gold Breaks Above $1,115 in London: Will JPMorgan Show Up Today? I wouldn't read a lot into Monday's gold trading, except for the fact that the attempt by both gold and silver to take off to the upside the moment that the London p.m. gold fix was in at 10:00 a.m. New York time, ran into the usual brick wall. From that spike high, gold got $10 shaved off its price... and silver around 40 cents. Gold managed to recover most of that loss by the end of electronic trading in New York... and tacked on a smallish $3 gain... 11/11/2009

Gold Is The Talk of Planet Earth Right Now: Well, trading in both gold and silver started off in the right direction when the Far East opened for business on Monday morning. The precious metals prices pretty much mirrored the swooning dollar. The top price in both metals was minutes before 8:00 a.m. New York time... and before trading began on the Comex. The dollar 'bottomed' an hour later. 11/10/2009
