Dear Reader,

If you're a casual investor, looking for two or three well-researched new ideas each month, Casey Research offers a number of excellent advisories that should meet your every investing need. For energy investments, look no further than
Casey Energy Opportunities. And if you are looking for recommendations in the high-octane junior mineral exploration sector, then the International Speculator is right for you.

However, if you are an active, high net worth investor with an understanding of, and an ability to take, calculated risks in exchange for the potential of much higher returns… you are an ideal candidate for the Casey Investment Alert.

This unique alert service is akin to sitting across the desk from Doug as he scours the markets for deeply undervalued, fast-moving opportunities that can produce the sorts of returns that can change a persons life.

"Doug and the folks at Casey Research have had no small part in furthering my personal revolution (and evolution). Four years ago I was a staunch democrat wasting time and money on politicians and political causes. Today I am a libertarian with a streak of anarchism. I started buying gold six years ago, and with discipline and the help of you folks my speculations will allow me to retire from my own law firm by the end of this year. I have achieved intellectual and financial freedom. I might have achieved this eventually without the help of the Casey gang, but certainly not this quickly. Thanks. "

    - D.G., January 2008

To provide just a few recent examples:

  • Animas Resources (V.ANI) - Recommended in April 2007 at C$0.50, by March 2008 the stock had risen to C$1.90, a 280% gain in 11 months

  • Antares Minerals (V.ANM) - Recommended in May 2006 at C$0.81, it subsequently rose to C$5.00, a 517% return.

  • AuEx Ventures (V.XAU) - Recommended in October 2005 at C$0.55, by January 2008 it had reached C$3.00 for a 445.5% gain.

  • Bear Creek Mining (V.BMC) - Recommended in July 2005 at C$1.69, by November 2006 it had reached C$10.85 for a 542% gain.

And the list goes on…

A CIA Case Study

The Casey Investment Alert (often referred to as the “CIA” by subscribers) isn't published on a fixed schedule. Rather, it is released as an email alert only when Doug uncovers a spectacular, fast-moving opportunity.

Sometimes the market capitalizations of the stocks he finds are too small to publish in the larger-circulation International Speculator. If thousands of investors tried to pile in all at the same time, it would send the stock to the moon prematurely.

Sometimes the risk is simply too high for people other than sophisticated, high net worth investors. But in instances where the risk is higher, you can bet the return potential is higher as well.

You see, the secret to Doug's extraordinary success is that he's made a life-long study of the interrelationship between risk and reward.

What he knows, perhaps better than any other investment analyst working today, is that the single best way to invest your way into real wealth is to always go after the BIG returns… but do the homework necessary to reduce that risk.

That paves the way for you to lock in extraordinary profits of the sort that the typical investor might only enjoy once in a lifetime (if that).

To help you understand how the team puts together a winning play for the Casey Investment Alert, consider our recommendation on Northland Resources (T.NAU), back then named North American Gold.

In April 2005 in a conversation with Simon Ridgway, one of the early Explorers' League Honorees, who had made his reputation with grassroots gold discoveries in Central America, we learned that he was making a bold and unexpected move... going after a major iron deposit with gold credits in Sweden and Finland.

Knowing his ability to create success, the deal caught our attention, and so we dug in hard on the story, discovering that the play he was assembling was a stroke of genius, moving into an area almost entirely overlooked by other mineral explorers, and into a commodity few were paying attention to. But what made the play so smart was its proximity to the European market, a market that had increasingly been forced to meet demand for iron by expensively shipping the raw materials in from overseas.

On May 20, 2005 we issued our Casey Investment Alert recommendation when Northland was trading for just 45 cents a share. In that alert we wrote...

“WHAT MAKES NAU MOVE FROM HERE?
The company has outlined a pretty aggressive work program for the balance of this year, with $1.7 million set aside for drilling to retest certain targets identified in the historical data, and for assaying and re-assaying existing core for copper and gold.

While results from those activities, and from the company's overall progress in the area, will ultimately dictate how high the stock will go, the opportunity in NAU is found by comparing its property package to its market cap. The company has 16.1 mm shares outstanding (22.3mm FD), giving the company a market cap of only around C$7mm at its current share price of about C$0.45. Its current projects may be worth 10 times that amount already, without taking into account any further success... an outcome I would rate as unlikely, given the caliber of management, and the fact that they are really just getting started.

When the market regains its sense of perspective-namely, when investors wake up to the fact that great companies are going for fire sale prices-then NAU, which is doing just about everything right in this mineral-rich and politically stable part of the world, should be headed for a double or better.”

To make a long and very happy story short, NAU's success in outlining an economic iron deposit in close proximity to European markets soon caught the attention of the market, sending the shares skyrocketing.

By June 2007, two years after our recommendation, the stock was trading for C$4.87, rewarding CIA subscribers (and paying for their subscriptions for many years!) with a 982% gain. After periodically recommending subscribers take profits, we closed our position in August 2007, just days ahead of the big base metals correction, locking in a 922% gain!

As with NAU, most of the stocks covered in the Casey Investment Alert are small-cap companies involved in mineral exploration, which often trade on established Canadian exchanges that are heavily skewed toward the resource industry. That's because these companies are able to leverage a little bit of money and a lot of exploration and corporate development expertise into property positions worth potentially hundreds of millions of dollars.

Best of all, you can invest without buying complicated futures or options, just straightforward U.S. and Canadian stocks you can easily buy and sell.

Each month, the Casey Research team conducts in-depth research on over a dozen companies… the vast majority of which are discovered to contain a fatal flaw that eliminates them from consideration.

Leaving you with unbiased recommendations on only the best of the best.

THERE IS A "CATCH"...

The Casey Investment Alert can never be allowed to grow beyond a limited number of subscribers.

That's because, if it does, the buying power of its well-heeled subscribers could result in a self-fulfilling prophecy – pushing the stock prices up well beyond where the fundamentals say they should be.

Too many subscribers could also get into each others' way: Doug occasionally uncovers highly desirable private placements that are open to subscribers. Understandably, he wants every one of his subscribers to have a shot at taking a seat instead of having to play musical chairs.

At US$4,500 a year, the Casey Investment Alert is not cheap. Yet, considering that a single alert can pay for itself many times over, the cost is a bargain.

When looking at the subscription terms below, be sure to check out the quarterly auto-renew option at just $1,125 a quarter... many new subscribers use that option as a way of "kicking the tires" when first getting started.

You get 3 full months of the Casey Investment Alert – typically, somewhere between 8 and 10 alerts – all of which possess serious home run potential. And you get access to all of Doug's current CIA recommendations.

If you don't find the service is everything you expect, or for any reason at all, simply cancel… by phone, email or mail… and your subscription will stop instantly and without further obligation.

PLUS… everyone gets a 3 month no-risk trial period. That's right - when you subscribe today you can take a full 90 days to decide whether or not the service is right for you. If it is, stick around. If it isn't, simply cancel within that 90-day trial period and receive a prompt refund of every penny you pay. Fair?

(Even if you cancel after 3 months, you'll still receive a pro-rata refund for the months remaining in your
subscription.)
